Certainly, I know that I learned a huge amount about myself and others from this experience as I’m sure that many did during the first “dot com 1.0” meltdown.

That said, I still come across similar behaviours amongst start-ups and their investors in the coaching work I occasionally perform for them. There’s something to be said I think for bringing in some of the old dogs to act as “critical friends” to help navigate the choppy waters or at least share their experiences of successes and failures.
