Thanks for your response Arthur, I’m interested to hear your argument supporting “we arguably have more personalisation than ever before”.

I’m not at all convinced that we do. If anything teaching practice is more restricted than ever given the narrowing of curriculum as a result of restrictive testing regimes.

The promise of digital educational technology has proven to be illusory given that it has been co-opted to reinforce these testing regimes and reduce the teachers professional autonomy in an attempt to create “teacher-proof” education.

I have recently worked with a number of professional bodies exploring these issues in some detail resulting in a detailed literature review and suite of short films.
