It’s a sad reflection on our society that we get the internet we deserve. We want privacy & decentralisation but when we do we use it to spread hate and other vile material. It’s like how some parts of our community abuse the hard won rights of “Freedom of Speech” to prove how ignorant they are.

The internet was supposed to bring us together, a technological miracle that would allow us to share ideas to make the world a better place and yet we use it to share kiddy porn cartoons as “art” & shout each other down.

It turns out that millions of monkeys tapping at keyboards won’t give us Shakespeare. Rather, they give us the Daily Mail.

What a missed opportunity.
