As a way of looking at the future, technological determinism, i.e. technology as the driver social change, has been so discredited that’s it’s no longer funny & yet it keeps popping up like an arcade game of “whack-a-mole”. The path of innovation and its social consequences are almost entirely shaped by society as a result of numerous social factors such as culture, politics, regulatory mechanisms and economic arrangements.

Food patented by a corporation who will demand royalties?

The industrialisation of pregnancy and child birth?
