Hello Paul

I’ve missed your dour myopia in the comments section of my articles. Welcome back!

I don’t know whether it’s your experience or lack of imagination that prompts your comments.

Your argument for streaming by age is based on squash players — seriously, is that all you’ve got?

I have a young daughter, she’s 11, she competes internationally in a London gymnastics squad and has trained 16 hours a week since she was 6 with a team of gymnasts aged between 6–18 and as a result is confident working with and learning from peers of all ages.

As I say, my vision of the future of schooling does away with the curriculum and siloed subjects as well as streaming by age as learning, teaching and collaborating become habits of mind rather than something we try to retrofit kids in the event they are lucky enough to be able to afford higher education.

You can’t imagine it because you have a powerful innovation immune system.

Enjoy the weekend :)
