Good to know that I’m not the only one Mark as I was beginning to think that the “randomly awesome stuff from people I never heard of” was being withdrawn from me for some reason :)

It’s not that Medium doesn’t work as a perfectly good online publishing environment and as long as I drive traffic to it from old socmed (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn etc) as well as my email database then my stuff gets read but the promise of broadening my reader and writer base hasn't materialised. In fact it feels like it’s deteriorated.

Being able to independently monetise my writing on this platform would be life changing. As you’ll have read elsewhere in my writing, having the freedom to write what I feel needs to be written can only be sustained if it doesn’t always rely on being indirectly funded by my consulting and public speaking work. It hasn’t been my intention to use my independent writing as a promotional tool for my other work as sometimes it may not be compatible as I’ve already experienced! 😂
