Claudia, I thank you for your interest & feedback but if you really think this is the problem I have no words.

Your response suggests that you are chronologically displaced. The phone call is dead, it’s merely a legacy app on our general purpose communication instruments. I’m somewhat older than the children I assume you mean & the only phone calls I make or take are to my 85 year old mother who only recently stopped using Skype & SMS.

I doubt that our ability to use a narrowband telecommunications device invented in 1876 will be the key to solving the existential crisis that faces our species in this century.

And yet here, you have elegantly demonstrated the problem of our education systems today. It’s like teaching cooking where you have to spend the first 3 years studying pots & pans before you get to make an omelette!
